history... and geography

...a heaven of greenery and peacefulness just
outside the gates of Siena

The construction of this home, for a noble family, dates back to the mid-eighteen hundreds when Ponticelli, the Minister of War under the Ricasoli family, built it as his home.

The villa also holds several works of art, including the statue of the Uncinello warrior, a Sienese hero.

The singular beauty of the building and of the surrounding park inspired its transformation, in 1981, into a hotel for the client who desires a refined and classical-style setting.
